(IM)MIGRANTS OF THE STATE
“(Im)migrants of the State” weaves together the stories of thirteen Californians navigating life before, during, and after incarceration. Devised and directed by Jeremie Loncka, the piece features a cast composed entirely of formerly system-impacted alumni of The Actors’ Gang Prison Project—many of whom he first met while teaching in prison and now collaborates with professionally. After debuting in 2023 at The Actors’ Gang Theatre, the production went on to complete three sold-out runs.
